Introduction

Welcome to the i100! You have been invited because your SVP/VP sees significant value in your leadership and wants to invest in your ongoing leadership development.

What is the i100?
  • The i100 is a group of 100 Young Life leaders from all the international divisions.
  • The i100 will equip and align you for greater leadership and responsibility by learning with and from your peers
  • Lateral learning will be a primary mode of delivery as it challenges leaders to expand their leadership perspectives. Each participant brings something to share with others and something they need to learn from others.
  • The i100 is a five-year commitment. This includes:

An annual gathering

Virtual meetings with cohorts from other divisions

Regular meetings with other i100 participants from your division.

  • You will engage in content around:

Healthy Spirituality

Vision Development

Leadership Development

Community Engagement

Direct Ministry

Ministry Support

Senior Leadership

  • The i100 experience will not only impact the i100 participants but the places and areas in which they serve as many concepts will be replicable throughout their ministry.

Vision and Purpose of i100

The i100 creates space for leaders to learn from each other around the world. All that we do in the i100 will incorporate learning from each other.

One major aspect of the i100 that we will explore together, is working with the Next Kid Framework that helps us view our ministry/area of responsibility strategically and holistically to reach the ultimate goal - The Next Kid. The next kid to introduce to Jesus and help them grow in their faith. In order to reach this goal leaders need to own and lead the full vision of their geography.

What is the full vision? The Next Kid Frameworks helps us see the full picture:

Expectations

As you prepare to be part of this program, it is important to set expectations for yourself:

  • Commitment to the process,
  • Give your best with joy, even when it is hard
  • Be a learner and a teacher. Be curious about what others do by asking questions, and be willing to share your experience. Everyone brings value to the table to share! I100 is a giving-and-receiving form of development.
